The post-Peyton Manning era in the AFC South looks a lot like it did while he was wearing a horseshoe on his helmet. Andrew Luck is one of the best quarterbacks in football and the class of a mediocre division. Following the collapse of the Houston Texans, the division belongs to the Indianapolis Colts once again as the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars continue to struggle.

1. Indianapolis Colts (11-5): It’s hard to pick against the Colts in this division. While the Texans have improved through the draft and addressed some of their needs, the most complete team in the AFC South is the Indianapolis Colts. As the ceiling continues to rise on how good Andrew Luck can really be, the Colts seem poised for another long run of sustained success. Good coaching and a plethora of offensive weapons should give the Colts this division with relative ease.

2. Houston Texans (8-8): The Texans made one of the best defensive lines in football even scarier through the draft, but there are still too many questions here. Can they bounce back from last season with a new regime? What will they get out of their quarterback after deciding not to bring in Johnny Manziel? Is Arian Foster healthy? Ultimately, even with average quarterback play and a healthy Arian Foster, I don’t think the Texans are a playoff team.

3. Tennessee Titans (5-11): Chris Johnson is gone and the offense looks bland. At least when they had a burner in the backfield there was a chance someone would fall down and CJ would take one the distance. The rebuilding continues.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13): I still think the Jags should bring in Tim Tebow, run the ball 80% of the time, and hope to sell some jerseys. Why not? The guy is a proven winner and the Jags are proven losers.
